Who?
Pawsitively Fetching is a mother and daughter team, Beverly and Amber. With Beverly's sewing skills and Amber's eye for fabric that would look good on pups, Pawsitively Fetching was born. Amber and Beverly both live in Denver, Colorado.
Why?
In Early 2006, Shakespeare, a black Schnoodle, entered Amber's life and began his journey to becoming a terribly spoiled pooch. For the most part, the spoiling process was fairly easy. Between doggie shirts, bully sticks, and countless cookies and biscuts, Shakespeare was pretty content. Amber, on the other hand, was frustrated by the lack of affordable, interesting leashes and collars that were available for male dogs.
Later that same year, Amber convinced Beverly that the empty void in her heart could be filled by getting a puppy of her own. While adamantly maintaining that there was no void to fill, Beverly became the proud owner of Desdemona, aka, Dessie.
While searching for new puppy items with Beverly, Amber shared her frustrations and suggested they try to make leashes and collars that would be relatively inexpensive and take advantage of all the amazing and funky fabrics out there in the world.
Perhaps Beverly had not slept enough the previous night. Perhaps she did not really listen to exactly what Amber was saying. Perhaps she was thinking about how to successfully housebreak Dessie. Whatever it was, she was certainly distracted and not thinking clearly when she said, "Sure, why not? It could be fun."
Countless hours and cups of coffee (and even a few glasses of wine) later, a prototype leash and collar were made. Shakespeare happily tested these out and felt very secure knowing that he looked good!
What?
Our goal is to provide a varied selection of affordable leashes and collars for dogs of many sizes. We strive to have a good selection of fabrics that are suited to either male or female pups and choose fabrics that represent what we think urban pups would like (plus a few quirky selections that we just could not resist!)
